Hi! I’m Mrs Ciara! I have been working with young children for over 14 years. Helping and seeing children succeed is my passion. I taught 2nd grade as a full-time teacher and have returned to substitute teaching to be more available to my two children at home. I became known as the "sign language teacher" as I teach American Sign Language (ASL) in each classroom I enter. I was introduced to ASL at a young age and it has not left me. I studied ASL and Deaf Culture in college and received an amazing opportunity to work and serve with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in South Florida through my church. I continue to volunteer and use my ASL as often as possible. This is an amazing, inspirational and beautiful language and culture! It is truly a blessing in my life and something I immensely enjoy sharing with others.

Justin and Corrinne have been married for 14 years and have 4 kiddos who they homeschool! Corrinne’s background has been with children and education and Justin has been in the Food Industry as a Chef for 17 years. Together they have come up with a great Culinary program for kids and are very excited to take on this new program
Rebecca Aimone
Physical Science/Tutor
My name is Rebecca Aimone. Â I am a Certified Master Tutor and Teacher. I have worked in the professional world as a pharmaceutical chemist and research scientist contracted with NASA. Â Â I thoroughly enjoy introducing my students to the wonders of Science in our world. My background is in chemistry and mathematics. I tutor all ages in my private time. In my free time, I like to train my dogs, take trips to the lake, and go fishing with my son. Â I am always fascinated by the science at work around me and love to help my students understand the science in the world around them. I look forward to working with your students.
Dejonna Thornton
Improv/Drama
Dejonna Thornton has over two decades of experience and training in
the entertainment arts, paired with a decade of teaching, directing
and pouring into youth. Besides being one of our teachers at
On The GO Academy, she also teaches acting classes at Royal Stage.
Originally from the North West, Dejonna (said De-on-a) has studied
theatre and film in Oregon, Seattle, Montana, and Los Angeles. She has
taught, lead, directed, & poured into youth in Eugene Oregon, Chico
California, and Seal Beach California – before becoming a fixture here in Roseville.
Dejonna’s teaching style is to inspire her students to greatness,
leave room for creativity, encourage thinking outside the box,
and present scenarios where students are learning the material in a hands on way.
Kristen Oversen
President/Director/Teacher
Amazingly energetic and driven, Kristen Oversen founded On The GO Academy with the focus on the homeschool students and their development physically, mentally and socially. Along with her studies in Early Childhood Education, she has worked with children for over 15 years. An experienced and successful homeschool enrichment school Director, Mrs. Kristen is also a homeschool parent of two. Her oldest recently graduated from Sacramento State and her youngest will be attending On The GO Academy as a middle schooler. She has developed great relationships with many homeschool families in the greater Sacramento and Placer Counties and enjoys planning fun field trips to locations that can be used as educational too.
Gary Oversen
Vice President/Athletic Director/Teacher
Well-respected by students and faculty alike, Mr. Gary has transformed his love for sports and teaching into a high-quality character-building curriculum. Also a homeschool parent of two, he is enthusiastic and strives to help students improve their confidence. Teaching our P.E. program, serving as our athletic director, and running his own program with On The GO Sports, Coach Gary is constantly looking for ways to bring sports and movement to more children. Whether it's baseball, basketball, or many other sports, Coach Gary is available for instruction. As well as assisting Kristen, Gary also serves as a teacher for some of our other classes.
Lela Lunsford
Art
Lela Lunsford is excited to be a part of the On The GO family teaching Art this year. (And we are very excited as well.) She is a dedicated teacher and parent of two homeschool teenagers (15 and 17). She enjoys the freedom that homeschooling offers her and her children, and that they can embrace their individuality and interests. Lela has a Montessori background in teaching play and social skills to children with exceptional abilities as well as developing peers through play and art. She looks to combine her joy of teaching children and love for the arts, along with the active-learning atmosphere at On The GO Academy, to help make this year great!
